Peer review procedure

Usually the Press first receives a synopsis and a sample chapter; when interested the Press will request the manuscript.

At least two practicing, international scholars will review the manuscript as to:

• Suitability for KITLV Press
• Originality of research or argument
• Language, style and composition
• Readership and market

These reviews are forwarded to the Editorial Board that ultimately decides whether the manuscript will be accepted for publication.
