Peer review procedure

In an increasingly connected and complex world, the humanities and social sciences are more important than ever. We at Frank & Timme are convinced of this and that’s why they’re our program.

In order to meet the high standards of content quality of the Frank & Timme program, we use various peer review procedures depending on the type of manuscript. All manuscripts submitted to Frank & Timme are reviewed by at least one specialized editor.

In the case of qualification papers (doctoral theses), the university reports are consulted as well. If a manuscript is suitable for being accepted in one of the publisher’s academic series, it is also reviewed by the editorial board and, if appropriate, by members of the scientific advisory board of the series. In addition, experts with proven competence can be consulted as external reviewers.
