Peer review procedure

The publishing house Westfälisches Dampfboot has been publishing books and journals since 1984 with the following focus: Politics and Economics, Social Theory and Sociology, Critical Geography, Social Work, History and Society, Gender Relations and Feminist Theory, Trade Unions. In order to ensure the scientific quality of our Open Access-publications, book manuscripts (monographs and edited volumes) are in general reviewed and peer-reviewed by external experts in the corresponding academic field. For contributions to series (edited volumes), the peer review procedures defined by their respective editors are applied. The series have editorial commissions and/or scientific advisory boards that vouch for the quality and prepare their own reviews or obtain external reviews. The aim of these procedures is to ensure academic requirements for scientific writing in terms of content and form.
