Aarhus University Press
Peer review procedure
Aarhus University Press (AUP) is set up to the model of the Anglo-Saxon university presses, which means that all our publications are peer-reviewed. This guarantees the quality of our publications.
The procedure is as follows:
A manuscript that qualifies for publication by AUP, is reviewed by one or two external peer reviewers. The peer reviewers are selected by the editorial staff council.
When approached, the external peer reviewers are requested to write a peer review following the ‘AUP Review Form’. If AUP receives a negative advice from a first peer review, the manuscript will be reviewed by a second peer reviewer.
As thanks for writing a peer review by means of the AUP Review Form, AUP offers the reviewer a selection of books from the AUP to a maximum of € 150.
